The following list is the GPS locations (waypoints) for VTA's light rail stations. About 1/3 of these were taken as places ridden by bicycle. The remaining ones were taken in the process of making a GPS map of the VTA light rail system for lightrail.com.
Even though GPS can be used to make extremely precise measurements when used by the military, it's less accurate for civilians. It also depends on having a good, wide view of the sky for best results. The presense of trees and buildings increased the measurement errors in places like downtown San Jose, where manual touch-ups were needed to finish the map image.
When using the map links below, the varying precision of the mapping sites may add more error than the GPS measurements themselves. Vicinity/MapBlast seems to be particularly bad about that. Use some caution.
